I really enjoyed reading this book. While reading "Hanging on to my Dreams", I really admired Arnold's courage and strength. After all the rejections that he went through, he still did not lose the hope for what he truly loves and that is basketball. I found myself in that book. The way that Arnold felt in certain situations, especially his struggle to integrate into the American culture, reminded me of myself and what I went through all these years to get to a certain point in my life. The book is really inspiring and has a positive message for all these young kids out there who have the same dreams as Arnold does. I encourage everyone to buy a copy of this book because this book can open someone's eyes and see the life from totally different prospective.

Arnold, my friend, I am really glad that I met you and had a chance to get to know you better. You are a wonderful person and I am really proud of you and what you have accomplished so far. From the beginning, I always knew how much basketball means to you. I really hope that you get a chance to play professional basketball in Europe and continue to follow your dream because you really deserve it.

I said to Arnold that his book would be the first book I would buy as soon as I set up my Fire. So said. So done. This book had me sitting at the edge of my seat. It was hard for me to put it down early mornings on breaks during the day, late nights. You always found me trying to get in a page or two. Bitter sweet in the beginning for me cause I knew of his father but did know he was absent in his son's life.

Arnold's courage and strength is a quality to admire throughout this book. He never allowed the negativity around him to keep him from HANGING ONTO HIS DREAMS. He never gave up no matter how tough things got.

Don't give up. Keep striving. I'm waiting on book 2.
I must say that I have not read a book in one sitting in a long time. Recommend it to all especially young adults. Hanging On to My dreams is captivating, inspiring and an easy read. The Author's autobiography of his early years through young adult has very different emotions. However his story is a testimony to young people that through life there wil be rejections that will make you angry, sad, cry, discriminated upon and judged. Having a dream and holding on to it can be achieved through hard work, motivation, determination, discipline and striving harder to get it and most of all having faith. Being positive and not turning to negative behavior is an asset. It was great meeting the author to see how far he has come by not giving up on his dream, keeping the faith and motivating others to do the same.
This is truly a great book - one to have in every reader's collection. "Hanging On To My Dreams" got me angry, it made me sad, it made me laugh, and often times I found myself shouting out loud at the author like most people do while watching captivating movies. I was engrossed from beginning to end. I'd recommend this over and over to any and everyone looking for something fresh to add to their book case. Own the book, then own it on kindle, ipad, nook, kobo, any available reader or tablet. This is truly an inspirational book and should be read by anyone who ever thought the odds were too stacked against them to hang on to their dreams.

I'm gonna purchase this book for all my friends and family celebrating birthdays until the next book comes out!
Arnold does a wonderful job of telling his childhood to college life story in a way that is interesting which touches on both the happy moments and also the difficult moments he encountered while growing up as a young Caribbean man. I honestly believe that this book would be an inspiration to anyone who has faced or is presently facing struggles while growing up.

All in all, this is very much worth reading, and gives a compelling picture of Arnold's life, especially as I only recently got to know him.

I loved this book because it inspired me to keep positive no matter how difficult the struggle may be.

This bio is well written and I look forward to reading your second book.

After reading this book, it all made perfect sense why Arnold always kept to himself.
He had a vision, and he always aimed for his goal and never gave up despite all the obstacles

Reading his book made me happy and sad.
It was hurting to know of all the trials he had to go through just to be where he always wanted to be.Growing up without the fatherly love and support made him feel like all hope was lost. He could have given up but he never did, and to this very day he hasn't.

I encourage everyone to buy a copy of this book,especially my ex-schoolmates of E.S.S 2002.
